Fleur de Miraval's 'Petite Fleur' combines 2019 Grand Cru Chardonnay, eternal reserve, and 5% Pinot Noir. With a fresh bouquet and red fruit notes, it pairs perfectly with seafood and grilled salmon.
Following the success of its limited edition “Exclusively Rosé Champagne”, Fleur de Miraval, based in Mesnil-sur-Oger, has created the “Petite Fleur” cuvée. The majority of “Petite Fleur” is Chardonnay - mainly from the Grand Cru Mesnil-sur-Oger - with a touch of Pinot Noir from the neighboring village of Premier Cru Vertus. With 55% of the Grand Cru Chardonnay coming from the 2019 vintage, 40% of the Grand Cru Chardonnay from the perpetual reserve of Fleur de Miraval and 5% Pinot Noir - vinified as a red wine - “Petite Fleur” is timeless.
It is a delightful spring-like floral bouquet with notes of peony and hawthorn, carried by spicy and crisp red fruits such as raspberry and redcurrant. On the palate, it is bright, juicy and fleshy, characterized by fresh lemony citrus fruits reminiscent of ruby red grapefruit and mandarin orange, with a subtle and airy finish. “Petite Fleur” is the epitome of its origins: the great terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, rooted in the noble purity of the chalk.
Classic seafood dishes - such as prawns or smoked salmon - go perfectly with it, while ceviche, grilled salmon or vegetable velouté highlight its delicacy and citrus notes. Roast chicken with herbs is enhanced by this champagne.
