The 2018 La Ribera del Duero vintage was excellent, thanks to a rainy spring and mild summer. The wine aged 14 months in oak, with 15% undergoing malolactic fermentation.
The 2018 vintage was an excellent one in La Ribera del Duero. Despite the frosts, the spring was very rainy, without the dangerous seasonal frosts that can affect the development of the plant, and with a mild summer that extended the ripening until the beginning of October and lasted until the Pilar bridge. Ripening was very good and the harvest was generous, allowing the best grapes to be selected.
In French oak barrels for 14 months, 15% of the final assembly was malolactic fermented in vats.
